2007 Ford Shelby GT-500 (Coupe)
MODIFICATIONS:
Custom mufflers, custom BDP Hi-Flow M.A.F meter and Kooks custom exhaust system
RESULTS:
01.15.07: After a few break-in runs on the dyno, BDP managed to get their '07 Shelby coupe to pump out a whopping 495hp and 485ft torque untouched.
01.23.07: BDP installed a set of custom mufflers for a 2005-07 Shelby/GT on their Shelby coupe and pumped out 505hp and 495ft torque. After a one minute cool down, the next pull netted an increase to 506hp while the torque remained the same. Next up, Kooks custom headers, custom tune, and special Shelby BDP meters.
03.01.07: As previously stated we decided not to install the Kooks custom GT/500 headers with the Hi-Flow M.A.F meter @ the same time. Instead we decided to just install the Hi-Flow M.A.F meter and see what results it would give us. Well the new meter helped the GT500 pump out an amazing 514/517/520hp without any custom tuning. Next on the list is the Kooks custom headers.
03.09.07: We installed the Kooks custom exhaust with the Corsa mufflers. The custom GT500 M.A.F meter still without any tuning, we made a pull after warming up the engine oil and then letting the GT500 cool down to about 140 degrees and made a full pull.... results were 535hp and peak tq didnt change that much, but it did change in the middle of the curve. So we pull it again and noticed the hp dropped to 524hp even though the A/F stayed about the same, or did it? On the previous pull we noticed 18 degrees of timing during WOT after 164% load, but on the second pull the timing was only 14 degrees. The GT500 computer pulls 4 degrees of timing out if A/F is 11.71 to 12.00, and our A/F was 11.89 to 12.1 during that pull...
