2007 Ford Shelby GT-500 (Conv)
MODIFICATIONS:
01.25.07: Custom mufflers
03.06.07: Custom M.A.F meter/stock mufflers
RESULTS:
01.25.07: The BDP project Shelby convertible got new life with a set of custom mufflers and picked up 21hp to the wheels. The coupe netted 506hp to the tires and the convertible which received a different set of mufflers improved from 482hp to 499.90hp. After a brief cool down, the Shelby convertible improved to 503hp to keep in pace with its coupe counterpart. Up next, Kooks custom headers, custom tune, and special Shelby meters.
03.06.07: We decided to test the Shelby/GT500 without any mods at all to see just how effective the M.A.F was by installing it without any other mods or tuning. So we removed the custom mufflers and installed just the custom M.A.F meter and the results were pretty good. The Shelby GT500 improved from the second we slammed the throttle, it picked up an average of 19HP and 20ft tq throughout the entire RPM range and peaked @ 511hp and 490ft tq which is a 29hp gain. Up next is the Kooks custom headers, with the custom mufflers, and custom M.A.F meter all @ once without a custom tune. Stay Tuned!!!
